Terms of Service

1. Agreement

Prawn is a free daily word game at playprawn.com, operated by playprawn.com ("we", "us"). By playing, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the game.

2. The game

Each day there's a shared 3-letter core; you score by finding words that wrap around it. We may change, pause, or discontinue the game, puzzles, leaderboards, or leagues at any time. The service is provided free of charge.

3. Your account

You start with an anonymous account automatically. You may optionally add an email and a display name. You're responsible for activity under your account, for the display name you choose, and for keeping access to your email secure.

4. Acceptable use

• Don't cheat, automate play, script submissions, or otherwise submit scores you didn't earn through normal play.
• Don't use offensive, misleading, or impersonating display names or league names.
• Don't attempt to disrupt, attack, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the service.
• Don't use the game for any unlawful purpose.

We may remove content, reset or withhold scores, or suspend or delete accounts that breach these Terms — including, in future, scores flagged by anti-cheat checks.

5. Leaderboards & leagues

If you verify an email and set a display name, your display name and score may appear on public and league leaderboards. League invite codes can be shared by anyone who has them; only share them with people you want in your league.

6. Intellectual property

The Prawn name, the game, its design, and its content are owned by us. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to play for your own enjoyment. You grant us a licence to display the content you submit (such as your display name and scores) for the purpose of operating the game.

7. Disclaimers

The game is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that puzzles, dictionaries, or scores will be free of mistakes.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of the game. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. As Prawn is free, our total liability to you is limited accordingly.

9. Termination

You can stop using the game at any time and ask us to delete your account (see our Privacy Policy). We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms; we'll change the "last updated" date above and, for material changes, give notice in-app. Continued play after changes means you accept them.
